Download/Run

Array Studio can be accessed in three different ways:

1. Run the latest version from online (recommended)

Note: You must be running Internet Explorer 6 or 7, or using Firefox with the FFClickOnce plugin. If using Firefox, make sure to click Run ClickOnce Application instead of Save File.

Using ClickOnce, Omicsoft provides the easiest way to access the latest version of the software. Just follow the link and click the Run button to instantly get access to Array Studio!

If you have not previously installed the .NET Framework Version 2.0 on your machine, the website will prompt you to do so. Next time you would like to access Array Studio, either go to the same website (you can easily bookmark the page) and click the "Run" button again, or go to the Start menu and launch the Array Studio V2.0 icon that was automatically installed previously. . If the software has been updated since your last use, the software will automatically update itself before launching. Otherwise, you will be able to immediately access the software.

If you get a proxy error during downloading, you can follow these step to fix the issue:
Apply this hotfix to resolve the Microsoft ClickOnce bug. Make sure to download the hotfix (single file) and be sure save it first to your hard drive (instead of running it directly). Make sure to restart the computer when the hotfix tells you to do so. You may email our customer support if you still receive an error after applying the hotfix.

2. Download a Windows installer

The current version of the installer is 2.5.1.89. Please note that the installer will be updated every 3 months, or after any major bug fixes. The old version must be uninstalled from the Control Panel before attempting to install a new version. Note: Settings will not be lost with uninstall. However, Array Studio will not have the automatic update feature when installed in this manner (although annotations and other data files will still be automatically updated).

You may want to download and install Array Studio if
(1) You want to install a less frequently updated version.
(2) You want to access Array Studio offline
(3) You can not access Array Studio through approach #1.

3. Download a single .EXE file

By double clicking the single .EXE file, you can get instant access to Array Studio. No .NET framework 2.0 is required.

This approach might be useful if
(1) You can not access Array Studio through approaches #1 or #2
(2) You would like to put Array Studio on a flash drive
(3) You do not have the privileges necessary to install .NET Framework 2.0 and/or Array Studio on your computer
