This can be accomplished by first using the DendrogramView (instead of ClassicDendrogramView) to select your branches in the thumbnail view, as shown below.

Then, choose "Generate Classic Dendrogram" from the Task tab to export this newly flipped view to the ClassicDendrogramView for exporting purposes, or further interaction.
