The Omicsoft home folder's location can be changed by going to the Tools menu | Preferences | Advanced | Omicsoft home directory. 

This is useful if the user wishes to off-load this directory to another hard drive, instead of the default location (My Documents/Omicsoft).

This might be necessary in some cases where the user has run out of hard drive space on the main hard drive and needs to perform a rather large operation (i.e the importing of 10,000 observations and 10,000,000 SNPs).
