You may experience an error when trying to start Array Studio using the web start application. This error is very rare, but does happen occasionally as a result of changes to a machine causing it to be out of synch with Array Studio. To remedy this situation, try the following steps:
- If you have installed Array Studio, uninstall it from control panel
- Delete the local cache of Array Studio.
- For Windows 2000/XP: the folder is at "C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Local Settings\Apps\2.0
- For Windows Vista/7: the folder is at "C:\Users\[User_Name]\ Update\Local\Apps\2.0"
- Delete all folders except "Data" folder - you should only see one folder that starts with random characters unless you use other web start applications.
This should correct the issue of Array Studio failing to start.
